August 21, 2007 State Attorney Steve Meadows announces the conviction, in Calhoun County Circuit Court, of Angus N. Kelley, on charges of Robbery with a Weapon and Obstructing an Officer without Violence. The one male, five females jury deliberated about 35 minutes before finding Kelley, WM, DOB 7/30/1975, guilty in the February 6, 2007, incident. The jury also found that Kelley wore a mask during the robbery. That finding makes the charge a first-degree felony, punishable by up to 30 years in prison. Sentencing is set for September 19, 2007. |
