June 24, 2008 Blountstown man tried and sentenced for robbery
State Attorney Steve Meadows announces the conviction, and sentencing, in
Calhoun County Circuit Court, of Christopher A. Godwin, on a charge of
Robbery While Wearing a Mask.
The five males, one female jury deliberated just 42 minutes before finding
Godwin, BM, DOB: 12-21-1965, SE Azalea Drive, Blountstown, guilty of the
December 5, 2006, robbery of Rosario Hall while wearing a disguise.
Godwin was found to be a Prison Releasee Reoffender due to this crime being
committed within three years of his release from prison. He was sentenced to
30 years in prison and must serve 100 per cent of that time. |
