November 1, 2007 Drug dealer convicted in 20 minutes State Attorney Steve Meadows announces the conviction, in Bay County Circuit Court, of Demetrius McGhee, on a charge of Sale of Cocaine. A four males, two females jury deliberated about 20 minutes before finding that McGhee, BM, DOB: 4-26-1968, 1616 Fairland Avenue, sold crack cocaine to undercover officers on May 19, 2006. Assistant State Attorney Rachel Seaton told the jurors that the case was about identification and that McGhee misidentified his customers-–two undercover police officers. Sentencing is set for December 4, 2007. McGhee faces a possible 15 years in prison. |
