State Attorney Steve Meadows announces the conviction, in Bay County Circuit
Court, of Derrick Faciane on a charge of Aggravated Assault with a Firearm.
A one male, five females jury deliberated one hour and 17 minutes before
finding Faciane, 28, of Lacombe, Louisiana, guilty of the August 31, 2005,
incident which involved Faciane’s wife and his in-laws. The defendant’s wife
testified on his behalf at trial.
Judge Don T. Sirmons ordered a pre-sentence investigation report. Sentencing
will be set at a later date. Faciane faces a minimum mandatory three years
in prison. |
