PANAMA CITY MEN CONVICTED OF DEALING IN STOLEN PROPERTY; FACE MORE THAN 20 ADDITIONAL CHARGES

State Attorney Steve Meadows announces the conviction, in Bay County Circuit Court, of James Henderson and Carlos Boyd, on a charge of dealing in stolen property.

The all females jury deliberated 43 minutes before finding Henderson and Boyd guilty of the July 29, 2006, attempted sale of a stolen generator. Assistant State Attorney Tracy Smith tried the case against three defense attorneys.

Sentencing is set for August 14. The State is seeking Habitual Offender sanctions against each. The maximum penalty is 30 years in prison.

Each defendant faces more than 20 additional charges of dealing in stolen property, burglary, and grand theft.
