May 23, 2008 Blountstown woman convicted of theft
Sherri D. Higgins, of 18181 NE Frank Williams, Blountstown, was convicted of
Grand Theft after a May 23, 2008, trial in Bay County Circuit Court.
A one male, five females jury deliberated about 25 minutes–until late in the
evening–before finding that Higgins walked out of a pool supplies store, on
May 5, 2006, with a stolen fixture tucked under her arm.
Sentencing is set for June 10, 2008. Higgins faces a maximum of five years
in prison.
