May 16, 2007 Bay County man convicted of Lewd or Lascivious Conduct State Attorney Steve Meadows announces the conviction, in Bay County Circuit Court, of William Blackmon, on a charge of Lewd or Lascivious Molestation of a child. A jury of three males and three females deliberated 45 minutes before finding Blackmon, 35, formerly of Fountain, guilty of the 2003 incident. The charge involved sexual activity with a 13-year old boy. Circuit Court Judge Michael Overstreet adjudicated Blackmon guilty, ordered him to be taken into custody, and set sentencing for June 5, 2007, at 9:30 a.m. Blackmon faces a maximum of 15 years in prison. |
